Keep Calm and Carry On…

Or, Wash Your Hands. Has anyone seen this vintage British slogan? (A former coworker of mine had this pink poster mounted above her desk).

A brief history lesson for ya, the British government created this series of posters during WWII to boost the moral of their people in anticipation of being invaded.

I’ve always loved it and when I saw this idea for a little bathroom art on “Three Men and a Lady,” I thought that’s pretty cute. And cheeky. I like cheeky.

I bought this frame on Saturday at our local Home Goods for $6.99.

I created the “Wash Your Hands” version of this British slogan by dropping the crown into Adobe Illustrator, hitting “live trace” and changing the outline from black to white.
