Back to Bare Bones

I told Tommy over the weekend that sometimes I feel like our family room is the red-headed step child of our house. It’s the room we spend the most time in, and the room we never feel is complete.

I sold the window cornices I built this fall, so our windows are back to naked.

A few options we have tossed around for our rectangular family room with four windows:

• Roman shades – similar to our kitchen.
• Bamboo blinds with white sheer curtains (a la Young House Love).
• Curtains (one panel per window instead of two).

What’s your window treatment preference for a relatively small room with lots of windows?
