Thrift Store Wall Decor

Thrift store wall decor – there it is. Not bad, right? The frame gallery in this photo cost us 25 bucks.

I saw this idea in several magazines and blog posts last fall, and I loved it. I went to our church’s recently opened thrift store, Hope Thrift, and picked out a collection of old, empty frames.

My goal was to find a variety of frame shapes that when arranged together, would fit nicely onto our very blank kitchen wall. I found that the more ornate and textured the frame, the better.

I sanded down the frames (sort of) and bought two different paint colors that I thought would tie in well with our kitchen and our family room.

We used the same tracing paper trick we used to hang the frame gallery in our dining room and it worked great.

Here are a couple more photos……
